Item Cafe is the brain child of Linda McCormick, a native of Lynnfield, with a passion for great coffee and quality foods, and its ability to bring people together. Her love of coffee started as a young girl and her culinary curiosity began with her first trip to Italy. Item Cafe is a personal culmination of years of discovery, growth, incredible relationships, a thousand odd jobs, gratitude and a belief in a City that has endless potential.  

I want people to feel comfortable when they enter this beautiful, bright space. The Item building is so rich with history, it is a perfect spot to foster creativity. I hope to have a number of crossover events that inspire, enlighten,  and promote community collaborations . There is a piece of me in every section of this cafe and I think people will  appreciate the vibe.

I am so excited to bring Six Depot's phenomenal coffee to Lynn and the Northshore, For me, the first sip of a great cup of coffee has always been a familiar, soothing experience regardless of where i have been geographically, physically and emotionally. Coffee is such a powerful drink that has its roots in the earth and its preciousness in the community of people it takes to deliver it. My culinary philosophy has always been quality ingredients done simply, with big flavors. The Cafe will feature new healthy options and products that I have come to love and appreciate, as well as timeless classics from my collaboration with the famous North End Bovas Bakery.

My hope for everyone who visits Item Cafe regardless their age, gender, background, or primary language. is that they leave with a positive memory that inspires them create more joy and laughter in their lives and the lives of others.
